It grows as a compact, rounded shrub, reaching only about 0.80 m in height and width after 10 years. The leaves are olive-green and slightly glossy on the top, with a creamy underside and a coppery indumentum on the surface. The flowers of Rhododendron 'King's Ride' are dark pink in bud, opening to a delicate pink. As they bloom, they gradually lighten to pure white. It blooms at the turn of April and May.
