The variety features dark green, glossy, oval leaves that are covered underneath with a thick cinnamon-colored coating. Young growths are intensively covered with a coppery indumentum. The flowers are pink in bud, opening to light pink, and gradually turning white as they bloom. After 10 years, it can reach about 1 m in height and width. Frost-resistant down to approximately -22°C.
