Rhododendron makinoi Silber - Rhododendron makinoi
Rhododendron makinoi Silber - Rhododendron makinoi
A rhododendron variety with distinctive, very narrow and long leaves covered with an intense, silvery indumentum found on young growths. The older leaves contrast with the young ones in a deep, dark green. The habit is compact and dense. After 10 years, it reaches about 1-1.5 m in height and a similar width. The flowers of this variety are pale pink, gradually lightening to white with subtle pink accents. It blooms in May and is frost-resistant down to approximately -20°C.
