The hybrid rhododendron brachycarpum ssp. tigerstedtii x microgynum results in a dense, low-growing variety with beautiful, vivid purplered flowers. The leaves are sturdy, with a distinct texture and light brown indumentum on the underside. It has a slow growth rate, reaching about 0.8 meters in height after 10 years. Frost hardy down at least -28°C.
